Membership in the church of Satan is voluntary and not necessary to be a satanist. The church of satan is not the only satanic organization but it is the most popular. In the beginning of the church there were more meetings you could attend as a member but today membership just means you made a donation to the church (was $200 but this may have changed) you get a membership card and the ability to advance in the church if you would like to (such as becoming a priest or going higher). I could give a lot more detail on Satanism and it’s history, but i think this is long enough you can check out the satanic bible by Anton LaVey or any of his other books for details. He was an eccentric and most of his books are entertaining.
Satanists embrace our natural selves and don’t believe in the restriction put in place by most religions. Its about embracing every part of yourself bettering yourself and being who you are or want to be. We believe in facts and following logic. This is the reason there is no belief in a god because there is no evidence supporting the existence of one. You should be free to be whoever you are and express yourself however you would like as long as it doesn’t interfere with another person. There are satanic rituals but they are all based around letting go of anger and are done as a way to make yourself feel better rather than taken as literal magic as portrayed in movies and tv and not all Satanist do them.
As far as if Satanists can go to heaven. Since there is no evidence of an afterlife I would say noone goes to heaven, but if you want to know if other religions believe we go to heaven it would depend on the belief of that religion and even Christians can’t agree on who gets in or not under Christian teachings so it be hard for anyone to answer that… Why not? I’ve attended high & low Episcopalian; Catholic (once – because my Catholic father refused to go back); whatever hodgepodge Christianity it was at boarding school; the nondenominational one that had to ‘borrow’ ministers, pastors etc because there were so few people on the island that it wasn’t possible to financially support an ordained anything of our own; a couple of hippie congregations that I barely remember, including what faith they were; two revivalist meetings, and a Buddhist temple in Hawaii where the temple cat purred along with the chanting of sutras. Satanists would be interesting. I’d also go if invited by Sikhs, Sufis, Tengerists, Shaivists, followers of FSM … but not LDS, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Southern Baptists or 7th Day Adventists.
